In some cultures, a win is a win no matter how you get there, and copyright isn't a thing (apparently?), the main thing for a lot of people is it doesn't matter so long as they don't get caught. I knew someone in my first year dorm, this guy I didn't really like because of his attitude who thought we were friends.

You're desperate to get it done and done right but it's 3am and you're so done (yes I know that's a time management problem too).

#CHEGG MUSIC THEORY TUTOR HOW TO#
Sometimes when looking for how to do a question you would see one exactly like what you're looking for and realize it's Chegg, so I can kind of understand if someone uses it once or twice in those situations. Some of my profs were very unavailable or unhelpful (ie "but thats so easy it's the basic xyz thing!" Or "well this is the answer key but take it with a grain of salt because I don't always put the numbers in right and I didn't double check"). That is what I wanted - to understand the questions. It's worth mentioning that you can submit your assignment questions to Chegg and have then worked through step by step by someone else. I did have the desire to use it occasionally in my first and second year though as I had some very math and calculus dependent things which were going over my head (not my major, took courses above the recommended level). If I'm paying for course help it will be one of the prep courses that is put on through the school which have been made around the course notes. Personally I won't use Chegg as you have to pay for it. I wish I had better relationships with my past profs, but it’s a little late now. Connecting with your students, if possible, is huge to them doing well. there are some profs that are just too scary to go to office hours with, so make sure you’re approachable first. I’ve had profs say it but it usually seemed superficial, like they had to say it. Mention the chegg thing and stress that you’re there to help (although, don’t lie, if that’s not true). Try talking to them and saying that if they need help they should come to you. Although there’s some people who just won’t care. They know it’s “wrong” but when it’s necessary to keep going and to graduate? The positives seriously outweigh the negatives for some people. Somehow, I’m doing ok academically though, so don’t worry about that lol. Cheating is a lot of the time, a survival mechanism.Īll I’m gonna say is that if I flunked out of school right now, you would not find me alive next month. University students are exhausted and broke. I could take less classes, but that means it takes longer, and I have to go longer without working, and I can’t afford that. My mental health is deteriorating rapidly, doctors won’t/can’t help me, and I NEED to get this degree over with because I don’t think I’d be capable next year.

You can say “well if you’re not mentally stable enough for school, then wait” or whatever but that’s a really privileged take. There will be some people who are just cheating to be lazy, but I bet that’s not the majority. I can, I’ve been getting treated, and I’ve only gotten worse, so there’s that too. I don’t know a single person aged 18-25 that isn’t mentally ill, I genuinely can’t think of one, and most of us can’t afford treatment. But the unfortunate truth is that most of he students doing this are probably suffering so much that they have no choice but to cheat if they want to maintain their grades. I’ve never used chegg for anything, for the record, mostly cause I’m not about to pay for it. When you try your best and get nowhere, and know you need to do well to either pass or feel worth something, you’ll do almost anything to get it. Most of the students doing this are not lazy, they’re working as hard as they can and it just isn’t enough. These people want to maintain their grades, but they are incapable of doing that on their own, for whatever reason. I’m struggling in a good year, and this has NOT been a good year. Right now especially, most people are struggling. This is because we have been taught that doing well in school is THE most important thing. Many students use school as a way to feel like they’re worth something, and when they get bad grades, it doesn’t work. Most of us need good grades to feel validated, and I know when I do poorly on something (even insignificant) I feel like an absolute failure at everything. It’s because most students came fresh out of highschool, our entire lives are built around school.
